The day I applied to the MKMMA was the same day that I had a difficult conversation with my mother about my life. When I was watching the three videos before starting the application, one sentence really hit home with me — the one about defining who you are vs who people think you should be. Wow! I don’t think it’s a total coincidence that this was the topic of conversation at lunch with my mother today. When I walked away from the table, I realized that this is a pivotal decision for me to apply for this program. I believe it is truly the key to discovering who I am and tapping into the power I have inside me to be the person God intended me to be instead of the person my mother thinks that I am. Really hope that I am accepted into the program as I am ready to start living MY life.
